Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information is — and is not — processed when you use checksimownersdetails.pk (“the site”, “we”, “us”). The short version: this site is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no lookup forms, and no box anywhere that asks for your CNIC or phone number.

1. What we do not collect

  • No CNIC numbers, no phone numbers. The site contains no input field for them. Any SIM check you run after reading our guides happens directly between you and the official channel (your SMS to 668, or PTA’s portal cnic.sims.pk) — none of it passes through us, and we cannot see it.
  • No accounts or profiles. You cannot register on this site, so we hold no user database.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data. We have nothing to sell; that is the point.

2. What is processed automatically

Like almost every website, some technical data is processed by the infrastructure that serves these pages:

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested page, timestamp) for security and error-diagnosis. These are routine, short-lived operational records.
  • Content delivery (Cloudflare). The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses to route traffic, block attacks and cache static files. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy governs that processing (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
  • Caching. We use page-speed caching on the server. It stores copies of pages, not information about you.

3. Cookies

The site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Technical cookies may be set by the infrastructure above (for example Cloudflare’s security cookies) — these are functional, not used by us to identify you. If we ever add analytics or advertising that uses cookies, this policy will be updated first and the effective date refreshed.

4. If you email us

When you contact us via the address on the Contact page, we receive whatever you choose to send — usually your email address and your message. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you reported. We ask you not to send CNIC numbers, phone numbers or screenshots containing them; if you do, we delete the message without acting on it. Contact emails are not added to any marketing list — we do not run one.

5. Links to other sites

We link to official destinations such as cnic.sims.pk, complaint.pta.gov.pk and complaint.nccia.gov.pk. Once you leave this site, those organisations’ own privacy policies apply. We deliberately never link to “SIM database”, “live tracker” or “owner details” services — the data practices of that entire category are the main reason this site exists.

6. Children

The site is general-audience informational content and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is normally nothing for us to retrieve or erase. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, say so in a message to the same address and it will be done. For data held by the official services we describe (PTA, operators, NADRA), contact those organisations directly — our Contact page lists their helplines.

8. Changes to this policy

Any material change will be published on this page with a new effective date. We do not weaken the “no lookup forms, no CNIC collection” commitments — those are permanent editorial policy, recorded on our About and Editorial Standards pages.
